Many illnesses and diseases can be prevented by getting vaccinated. Some people may brush them if they are uninsured or underinsured and don’t have the money for it, but it is vital to your health. Lack of money doesn’t have to deter you either. 
 
 
In order to get free or low cost vaccinations, you have a few options. Most pharmacies provide free vaccinations. If they aren’t free, they will typically only cost $5 to $10.  This includes store pharmacies, which often have the lowest prices. 
 
 
You can also visit health centers and clinics that give free vaccinations or charge on a sliding scale basis. To find a health center giving vaccinations near you, visit Vaccines.gov. Call the health center before you arrive to inquire as to whether an appointment is required or the take walk-ins.
 
 
If you are a college student, your student health center probably gives vaccinations for very low prices. Likewise, 1st through 12th graders can often receive flu shots for free through their schools. For non-students, many states and counties have mobile immunization clinics that travel throughout a specified area and give low cost vaccinations.
 
 
Free and low cost vaccinations aren’t very hard to find. They are offered in multiple places because of how important they are. Take advantage of this can get your vaccinations because getting sick will cost you even more.
